Skincare

Hi!

I want to share my experience and thoughts on these two similar products:
Bioderma Sebium Pore Refiner
and
La Roche-Posay Effaclar M Mattifying Moisturiser.

They are both suited for combination/oily skin and are supposed to help with excess sebum production and large pores.

Small Sunday Shopping

Yesterday I picked up these two goodies from Lilly.

Catrice Multi Color Blush in 060 Strawberry Frappucino and
Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner

I haven't tried them out yet but I've read good reviews about the kohl of the same Maybelline series so I thought I'd try the liquid eyeliner. Plus I really like the packaging with the handwritten font. And for the blush I was drawn to the colours and this is my first product from Catrice.

Bourjois Healthy Mix

Hi! So today I thought I'd share my opinion on the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation and Healthy Mix Concealer. I know there are a lot of reviews on this particular foundation but anyways here's my version. :)

The foundation offers very light but buildable coverage. It looks very natural on the skin but has a dewy finish so I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin (like mine). That's why I have a love-hate relationship with this foundation. I love how blendable it is, that it feels like nothing on the skin, even the fruity scent but it definitely isn't for my skin type. Even with powder I'm a little on the shiny side with it. Plus I have to spend twice more time concealing because of the sheer coverage. However it's a really nice foundation. A big plus for me is the shade selection. I have very fair skin so usually I have trouble finding the right shade but 51 Vanilla is the perfect match for me. Well done Bourjois! The colour isn't too pinky, it's maybe even a bit more yellowish than my skin but I find that this just balances the redness.

Now for the concealer. I have to say I really like it. This is my second tube of it. It's a good multifunctional one. You know how there are light-reflecting ones for the under-eye area which just won't do the trick with spots and blemishes. This isn't the case with the Healthy Mix Concealer. It conceals my dark circles, redness and spots pretty well. And it stays for hours without the need to reapply (except for the more oily areas like around my nose) but that's understandable. And I have to say the packaging is really nice- it doesn't take too much space in my make-up bag and it's hygienic because it doesn't have one of the sponge applicators that just become dirty and gross after some use.

In conclusion I'd say these are really good products with afforable pricing so if you haven't tried them out yet you should! I hope this was helpful to at least some of you :)

A little update

Today I decided to share with you what I've been wanting for quite some time now.

1. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation
Shock horror! Yes, I know there's this big buzz about it in the beauty community but it really seems to be a good product. I really want to try it out.

2. Vichy Normaderm Daily Anti-Acne Hydrating Lotion
I have used it before and loved it. It makes my skin look radiant and visibly more clear. Plus I love the smell of it- a little perfumey but still nice in my opinion.

3. Bioderma Sebium H20
I've run out of it and I seriously miss it! This is the version for oily and combination skin but I'm sure you've heard about the one for sensitive skin-Sensibio. This Bioderma product is a certain must have.

I'm sending love your way!

Rose Water

Hello!
For my first post on this blog I decided to talk about the benefits of rose water for skin.
Rose water is basically a byproduct of steam distillation of rose petals. I started using it recently as a cheap and natural toner just because I felt my skin needed some special treatment.

Reasons to love rose water:
a toner good for all skin types- it moisturizes and softens
helps with acne, redness, inflammation, rosacea
shrinks the pores and has anti-inflammatory properties
Here are some ideas on how to use rose water and add it to your beauty arsenal.
